Experience:
Valerie is an Associate with Liddell Law. She practices primarily in the area of Litigation including estate litigation, civil disputes and family law.
Valerie completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa before attending the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia where she completed her Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Training. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a lawyer in 2012 and practiced law in Brisbane, Australia until her relocation to Edmonton. Valerie was admitted to the Court of Queen’s Bench in Alberta in May 2018.
While completing her Bachelor of Laws, Valerie completed an internship in a human rights office in Cape Town, South Africa where she assisted clients with refugee matters as well as domestic issues ranging from divorce to domestic abuse. During her years as a lawyer in Brisbane, Valerie also volunteered with the Women’s Legal Service Centre, a centre providing free legal and social work services for women in the areas of family law, child support, domestic violence and child protection.
Valerie is fluent in French and looks forward to working with you on your legal matters.
