Experience
Jessi graduated from Concordia University College in 2006 and attended the Program of Legal Studies for Native People (PLSNP) the summer of 2006 completing her property law classes prior to commencing law school at the University of Saskatchewan that fall. She graduated with her LLB from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009. She was an active member of the Aboriginal Law Students Association during her time at law school.
Jessi joined the firm in 2009 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2010. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Bar Association and Indigenous Bar Association (inactive). She is further a family roster lawyer with Legal Aid Alberta and received a certification of recognition for her work with legal aid.
In addition to representing clients effectively in court, Jessi has taken part in alternative dispute resolution processes including mediation, judicial dispute resolution (JDR) and formal settlement conferences. She has dealt with family issues relating to child welfare matters, amicable separations, divorce, division of property, spousal and partner support, guardianship, custody, access, mobility, and child support.
