Liddell Lae - family law services

“Family law” encompasses those legal services that relate to marital, common law, or same sex relationships.  This area of the law includes (but is not limited to) preparation of Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, Separation and Divorce (including, where required, the division of matrimonial property, child custody, access and support issues).

Going through a separation and/or divorce can be a very complicated matter.  You owe it to yourself to obtain strong legal advice at the earliest possible time.  It could make a significant difference.

Dealing with the issues of divorce, custody, visitation, child support, alimony and division of property are large and emotional undertakings.  Dealing with these do not need to become confrontational or combative experiences, though they sometimes do.   If both parties keep their emotions in check and are represented by capable lawyers, it is very much the norm for all matters to be resolved through discussion and negotiation, without the necessity of court appearances (which can become costly).
